It has been a little while since I’ve been out with my camera and took some photos. Lately I’ve been putting all my creative energy into my piano playing and my photography has taken a bit of a back seat. But since it’s spring time and there are a few flowers starting to grow and some wildlife is returning to the garden, I got a few photos that I thought I’d share.
I love finding little insects hidden away in the petals of flowers. I actually have another photo from last year that is very similar to this one but instead of a little beetle, there’s an ant in the centre of the flower.
I found this little lady bird hiding amongst the leaves. It’s so shiny and bright, it looks like a little jewel nestled in the greenery. I also love the mixture of colours in this photo; the green, the purple and the yellow makes for an interesting shot.
The blue background is actually a garden shed, but the grain of the wood is too blurred to be noticeable. I think this photo is simplistic and calming.
Daisy, daisy! They’re so simple but so lovely at the same time. I remember making endless daisy chains when I was at school and wearing them all through the summer. It’s a nice photo but I think I should have tried a shot from ground-level to get a different perspective (maybe next time!)
Spot the little fly! This photo didn’t come out as well as I had imagined, but I’m including it anyway because it’s still quite nice. There are a lot of flowers like this one that are only just starting to bloom.
That’s it for this post, I hope you liked the photos! Hopefully I’ll get out a bit more in the coming weeks as the weather gets warmer and get some more photos.
