12 Months of Gratitude: March

31.03.2018

Another month has come to and end, so it’s time for another gratitude blog!

March is usually a dull month for me because winter is over but spring isn’t really here yet either. It’s a weird limbo month where I’m just waiting for the warmer weather to finally get here!

With that said, it was still a good month and there was plenty to be grateful for, so let’s dive right in!

1. Taking a holiday to spend time with my family.

I’m so grateful for this because I know that not everyone has this luxury. It’s hard enough finding time when everyone can get the time off work, let alone being able to afford to go away somewhere for a week.

It was really nice to spend some quality time with my mum, my sister and their partners. We had a lot of laughs and enjoyed some really delicious food. It’s probably the last time we go away for a little while because we’re saving our money for a holiday abroad next year!

2. Nature

Whenever I get caught in my thoughts and feel a little bit down, going out into nature always makes me feel better.

When we were on holiday, I sat out on the balcony for half an hour watching a small squirrel foraging on the forest floor. There was something about him that made me feel so calm and peaceful.

I’m grateful that there’s an abundance of wildlife where I live.

3. Where I work

Sometimes, it’s easy to take your work for granted and fixate on all the problems with where you work.

But this month I’ve started to feel a lot more grateful for having the job that I have. I’m so lucky to have a job working with animals when I’ve dreamed of working with animals since I was a child.

On my lunch break, I can cuddle with this little hamster, what’s not to love about that?

That’s about it for this post, thank you for reading! What are you grateful for this month?
